Mark L. Mawrence, a DMG,
Inc. partner, is a consultant, writer, producer and fund-raiser who has
lectured and worked extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.
Mr. Mawrence’s work has focused on predicting future trends in business,
politics and communications, sales and marketing strategies and on issues
relating to "Socially Responsible Corporate Practices."
Mr. Mawrence advises corporations and governments on the development of
socially responsible portfolios. His clients have included: The China State
Science and Technology Commission; The Department of Energy in the Philippines,
Pedagogic & Production (Stockholm); ClearNet; the Coalition for Clean Air;
Digital Information Systems Corporation; HWH Consultants (Zurich); Natural
Woman Institute; The Piedmont Environmental Council, United Nations Environment
Program; and UNICEF.
Mr. Mawrence is the
founder of Change, Inc., a company that has performed corporate work with
Chinese Television, Harper & Row, Bell Atlantic, The Nobel Foundation, Scandinavian
Airlines, SONY and Volvo. He has served for five years on the Board of
Directors of The Bayside District Corporation, which manages the newly
re-vitalized and award-winning downtown district "Third Street
Promenade" in Santa Monica, California where he created and implemented
the critically acclaimed "Dolphin Change" project for the homeless.
Mr. Mawrence has
organized and directed numerous international conferences, established
successful sales and marketing organizations in a wide range of businesses,
innovated new models for corporate practices and created and raised funds for
various non-profit organizations. He serves on several boards, including The
Fund For Peace, in Washington D.C., and "For The Arts", an endowment
fund for supporting arts education in the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School
District. In addition, Mr. Mawrence has won awards for filmmaking, most notably
the CINE Golden Eagle in 1986 for his work producing "The Art of Patrick
Nagel," for Harper & Row Publishing.
Mr. Mawrence graduated
cum laude from the University of Massachusetts in 1974, with a BA in political
science. He continued his studies at University of Massachusetts’ Political
Science Ph.D. program, including a year of research at the University of
Stockholm.
